Early Beginnings
Cricket in Norway traces its roots back to the 1960s when British and Commonwealth expatriates first introduced the sport. The Norwegian Cricket Board (NCB) was officially established in 1994, marking the beginning of organized cricket in the country.
Development Era
Norway became an affiliate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2000. The national team made its international debut in the European Championships, showcasing Norway's growing commitment to cricket development and competitive participation.
Current Status
Today, Norway boasts over 20 cricket clubs across the country, with Oslo being the main cricket hub. The national team actively participates in ICC European tournaments, while local leagues continue to grow with increasing participation from both Norwegian natives and expatriates.
